What Makes the 2026 Lexus RZ Different From Last Year's Model
This isn't a badge update. Lexus overhauled the RZ's entire electrical architecture for 2026.
The battery system was rebuilt with upgraded lithium-ion cells and a new eAxle design. The result? The base RZ 350e now delivers an EPA-estimated 302 miles of range — 36 more miles than the 2025 model. That's not a rounding error. That's a meaningful, real-world improvement for anyone doing the math on a daily commute from Duluth to Atlanta or a weekend run to the mountains.
Beyond range, every 2026 RZ now comes with an 11-kW onboard AC charger, up from 7 kW previously. Charging at home got faster. And perhaps most importantly, all trims now feature the North American Charging Standard (NACS) port, giving every RZ buyer direct access to the Tesla Supercharger network. No adapter required.
The lineup also gets a brand-new trim for 2026: the RZ 550e F Sport. We'll get to that one shortly. It's worth the wait.
