DYNAMIC STYLE
While the QX carries on with traditional Infiniti design
themes, the NX broke free from traditional luxury
crossover design expectations right from the start-
and continues to do so with bold, dramatic lines and
eye-catching details that only Lexus can deliver.

 SAFETY
The Lexus NX has standard Whiplash Injury Lessening Seats, which use a specially designed headrest to protect the driver and front passenger from whiplash. During a rear-end collision, the Whiplash Injury Lessening Seats system moves the headrests forward to prevent neck and spine injuries. The QX50 does not offer a whiplash protection system.
- SAFETY AND DRIVER ASSIST COMES STANDARD:Â The Lexus NX comes standard with an impressive suite of safety and driver assist features like All-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control and Lane Tracing Assist, while the QX50 requires expensive upgrades for similar features. The NX also offers eight standard airbags compared to the QX50's six.
PASSENGER SPACE
The Lexus NX has 3.2 inches more front legroom and .1 inches more rear hip room the the QX50.Â

SUSPENSION
The Lexus NX has standard front and rear gas-charged shocks for better control over choppy roads. The QX50's suspension does not offer gas-charged shocks.
- SOPHISTICATED SUSPENSION:Â With the available F SPORT Adaptive Variable Suspension, the NX offers a level of suspension sophistication and control that's specially engineered for enthusiast drivers. The QX50 with its conventional adjustable suspension can't offer the same level of confident control.
UNCOMPROMISING PERFORMANCE
The Infiniti QX50 is not offered in a high-fuel-efficiency hybrid model
for environmentally conscious drivers, while Lexus offers the NX 300h
hybrid model with city/highway/combined ratings of 33/30/31 mpg.

COMFORT AND CONVENIENCE
The power windows standard on both the Lexus NX and the QX50 have locks to prevent small children from operating them. When the lock on the NX is engaged the driver can still operate all of the windows, for instance to close one opened by a c child. The QX50 prevents the driver from operating the other windows just as it does the other passengers. If the windows are left open on the NX, the driver can close them all all the outside door handle. On a hot day the driver can lower the windows at the outside door handle or from a distance using the keyless remote. (This window function must be activated by our service center.) The driver of the QX50 can only close the windows from inside the vehicle, with the ignition on.Â
The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) conducts detailed tests on headlights for their range both straight ahead and in curves and to be certain they do not exceed acceptable amounts of glare to oncoming drivers. The NX's headlights were rated "Good" by the IIHS, while the QX50's headlights are rated "Acceptable".Â
The Lexus NX standard outside mirrors include heating elements to clear off the mirrors for better visibility. INFINITI only offers heated mirrors on the QX50 Essential/Sensory/Autograph.Â
The Lexus NX' standard rear and side view mirrors have an automatic dimming feature. These mirrors can be set to automatically darken quickly when headlights shine on them, keeping following vehicles from blinding or distracting the driver. The QX50 offers an automatic. rear view mirror, but its side mirrors do not dim.Â
- CUSTOM COMFORT:Â The NX has a standard power tilt-and-telescoping steering column, so it's easy for drivers to get a comfortable fit. The QX offers a power tilt-and-telescoping steering column, but only as part of costly trim and package upgrades.
